Enrollment and Registration
New Student Enrollment:
To enroll a new student, parents/guardians must provide the following documents:
- Birth certificate
- Proof of residency (utility bill, lease agreement, etc.)
- Up-to-date immunization records
- Transcript/records from previous school (if applicable)
Registration for Returning Students:
Families of returning students must complete the annual online registration process before the start of each school year. This ensures we have the most up-to-date information on file.
Academic Programs and Policies
Curriculum and Instruction:
The Amazon Demo School District curriculum is aligned to state standards and designed to promote college and career readiness. Instructional practices emphasize active, engaging learning experiences.
Grading and Assessment:
Elementary (K-5): Standards-based grading on a 4-point scale
Middle (6-8) and High School (9-12): A-F letter grades
Students participate in state standardized testing, as well as district-level assessments to monitor progress.
Homework and Make-Up Work:
Reasonable homework assignments are given to reinforce learning. Students are responsible for completing any missed work due to absences.
Promotion and Retention:
Students must meet grade-level academic standards to be promoted to the next grade. Retention decisions are made collaboratively between the school and parents.
